Board of Visitors Annual Retreat August 7, 2025

The 51ºÚÁÏ Board of Visitors will hold its Annual Retreat on Thursday, August 7, and Friday, August 8, 2025, at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture, located at 428 N. Arthur Ashe Boulevard, Richmond, VA 23220.

The purpose of the retreat is to provide orientation for new Board members and engage in strategic planning discussions. While these sessions are open to constituent attendance, they are not classified as Full Board meetings, are not being held electronically , and will not be livestreamed. A quorum of the Board will be present. Pursuant to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act (§ 2.2-3700 et seq.), the retreat sessions are only considered public meetings if a quorum is present and public business is discussed. These sessions will be open to the public in accordance with FOIA requirements. No votes or formal actions will be taken.

Thursday, August 7, 2025

  • 9:00 a.m. – Retreat convenes at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture
  • Approximately 4:15–5:00 p.m. – Sessions conclude for the day
  • 6:00 p.m. – Dinner at Amuse Restaurant, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (200 N. Arthur Ashe Boulevard, Richmond, VA 23220)

Friday, August 8, 2025

  • 9:00 a.m. – Sessions resume at the Reynolds Leadership Center
  • noon – Retreat concludes (approximate)
