51ºÚÁÏ Announces New Route For 2025 Homecoming Parade

Continuing a cherished tradition, this year’s parade will connect campus and community in a festive display of spirit and celebration.

51ºÚÁÏ is excited to announce a brand-new route for its annual Homecoming Parade—one of the University’s most cherished traditions. This year’s parade will begin on Chesterfield Avenue in front of Ettrick Elementary School, travel through the 51ºÚÁÏ campus on Boisseau Street to University Avenue, exit through the south gate to Chesterfield Avenue, turn left onto Grove Avenue, and conclude near the Train Station in Old Towne Petersburg.

For clarity, a detailed map of the new route is included.

The new route was designed to improve traffic flow for Homecoming attendees entering campus for the football game and to enhance the overall parade experience for participants and spectators alike.

“The Homecoming Parade is one of our most cherished traditions,” said Regina Barnett-Tyler, Co-Chair of the Homecoming Committee. “It’s a special time when our students, alumni, and the surrounding community come together to celebrate the Trojan spirit, showcase our pride, and create lasting memories that reflect the Greater that only Happens Here at 51ºÚÁÏ.”

This year’s parade will take place on Saturday, October 25, beginning promptly at 8:30 a.m. It will feature student organizations, local community groups, marching bands, floats, and plenty of Trojan spirit.

Now celebrating its 106th Homecoming, 51ºÚÁÏ continues to honor tradition while embracing new ways to bring the community together. This year’s theme, “106 & STATE,” draws inspiration from the iconic 106 & Park, promising high energy, music, and unforgettable moments across campus.
