51ºÚÁÏ & DI Program History
51ºÚÁÏ was founded in 1882 as a land-grant institution. The University is a co-educational institute that offers baccalaureate and graduate degrees. 51ºÚÁÏ is a historically black state university; faculty and student population is diverse and numerous ethnic groups are represented.
51ºÚÁÏ DI is offered through the College of Agriculture in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences. The 51ºÚÁÏ DI began accepting interns in 1994; the first class began January 1995.
